Scrubber

Stainless steel scrubbing towers are available in single-tower and dual-tower configurations. They typically consist of a liquid storage tank, tower body, air inlet section, spray layer, packing layer, cyclonic mist eliminator layer, exhaust cone cap, and access manholes. They are primarily used to treat various harmful gases, such as H₂S, SOₓ, NOₓ, HCl, NH₃, and Cl₂.

Equipment Overview

Equipment Introduction

The main body of the stainless steel scrubbing tower is constructed from stainless steel (typically SUS304) and is primarily used for treating high-temperature gases and gases containing acidic or alkaline components. When treating high-temperature exhaust gas, ceramic packing is utilized within the unit. For the treatment of acidic or alkaline gases, the system is equipped with a pH monitor and an acid/alkali dosing system to ensure the discharged gas remains neutral, thereby preventing corrosion of downstream equipment and piping.

Equipment Function

The waste gas to be treated enters the tower through the gas inlet at the bottom, passes upward through the packing layer, and is finally discharged from the gas outlet at the top. Water is evenly sprayed onto the packing layer via liquid distributors located at the top and middle sections; it flows downward along the surfaces of the packing to the bottom, from where it is pumped back to the top and middle sections for re-circulation.
